Thanksgiving Trip

My friend and I really expect this Thanksgiving Day trip. We are going to look around Chicago this time. As we know Chicago is the third biggest city in United State and it is also the shopping kingdom. We are so excited to this trip.

We have $500 as our budget. Chicago is near to East Lansing, so we decide to take train to Chicago this time. The total price of train of this trip is $64.2. We determine to stay in Chicago two days. My friends and I are going to share one room. We choose to live in a hotel called Rosemont Hotel O’Hare because its price is very appropriate to us. Its price is $67.15 per night, so the total price of mine is $67.15 because we share one room. The rest of money of my budget is $368.65. Therefore, I can use the rest of money to buy whatever I want.

I think my friends and I will have a happy trip in Chicago!

My Dormitory in MSU

I live in Holden Hall in Michigan State University which is nearby Cheery Lane Village. I think Holden Hall has a modern dormitory. We have our own bathroom, so we can use it conveniently. There are two nice closets in my dormitory and I can put my clothes there in order. I also like the dormitory’s setting and I think it is appropriate. My roommate and I both have the private space to study. However, I do not like the bed. It is too high and small for me. Whenever I climb it, I am afraid to fall down. Although the dormitory is not very fancy and it is cozy to me. I like my dormitory in MSU.

My Favorite Restaurant in East Lansing

There is a restaurant called Everyday in Grand River road, when you take No.1 Bus, I think you will see this restaurant. It is also very close to Super 8 Hotel. This restaurant is a Chinese restaurant and the boss is Cantonese.

My friend and I would go to there, if we miss Chinese dishes. Everyday’s meal is fit our appetite and its price is not expensive. Therefore, this restaurant is the best place to go to, especially to Chinese students. This restaurant is in the form of buffet at noon and you can order the meal as well. In the evening, this restaurant does not offer buffet. My advice is that you had better to go to there at noon, because it is really save money.

My First Month in East Lansing

I was shocked by Lansing when I arrived here. I remembered that I had a really bad mood at that day because i lost my cloth at Chicago Airport then my luggage was delayed by Lansing Airport. I was so frustrated in the first day. We arrived at Lasning about midnight. I felt that Lansing is a small town when I viewed it though the window and I cannot see any high buildings and large mansions. I thought Lansing is a big city and it should be fantastic, however, it let me down in the beginning.

I arrived at Laning on the 28th, August and the dormitory did not open yet. I have to live in hotel named Super 8 and I made my first friend called Zhouying at there. Zhangyi is a girl who from Hangzhou,China. She sit beside me in the cab and we chatted for a while. Zhouying and I live in the same room at Super 8. We chatted a lot on that night, so we are friends now.

Now, I feel better than the first I arrived Lansing. I made some new friends here and they are all very nice person. I feel happy and warm when I stay with them. I am getting to use to live Laning now. Last week, my friends and I went to downtown Lasning for a day. This makes me feel that Lansing is not that bad as I though in the first day. I like my life in Lansing.
